Have you received this letter from the California Energy Commission?

If you haven’t received it yet, you will. The California Energy Commission requires owners of commercial and multifamily buildings larger than 50,000 square feet to report energy usage data using ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager. However, cities like Berkeley, Brisbane, Chula Vista, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Jose have stricter regulations.
“Violations can carry a penalty of up to $2,000 for each category of missing data, which can apply for each day the violation has existed and continues to exist. CEC staff will provide advance notice if a case is opened regarding your building.”

Compliance and real-time utility monitoring

Water, gas, and electric data comes directly from the utility provider. Fire and security alerts are delivered live directly from our central station. One monthly price, no hidden fees, no hardware required.
